Biography

 Jean Elliott-Murphy MA, BMus

Jean holds a BMus Hons Degree from UCC and has just recieved her MA in Vocal Performance from the Cork School of Music. She has studied classical singing under Robert Beare, Helen Hassett & Mary Hegarty and is currently studying pop vocal under Laoise O'Hanlon. 

 

An accomplished vocal coach in leading music and performing arts schools in Cork, Jean has gained valuable performance experience in theatre, recording studios, TV, and ceremonial events. Jean has also studied dance with Cork Arts Studio and the Joan Denise Moriarty Ballet School. She has also studied drama with CADA.

 

Jean has completed training in musical theatre at Laine Theatre Arts in London.  

 

As well as performing many times in the Cork Opera House and the Everyman Theatre, Jean has also performed at the National Concert Hall, Dublin and at many festivals nationwide. 

 

Jean was a finalist on the RTE talent show "You're A Star" in 2004 and has performed many times live on national television with RTE, TV3 and TG4. Jean has released three singles to date entering the top ten in the Irish charts.
